RJDJ: A iPhone favorite and Berlin user meetup

Posted on | November 19, 2008 |

Some weeks ago Patrick told me about a generative music app for the iPhone called RjDj. I tried it a few days later and it’s now one of my absolute favorite apps. Riding my bike through the city with Eargasm or WorldQuantitzer is a fantastic urban experience.

RjDj is a music application for the Iphone. It uses sensory input to generate and control the music you are listening to.

RjDj is mainly listened to with headphones. Think of it as the next generation of walkman or mp3 player. The listening experience of RjDj is similar to the effects of drugs. Drugs affect our sensory perception, so does RjDj. RjDj is a digital drug which causes mind twisting hearing sensation.

Easy to understand? No? Here is a video as well:

Last but not least, if you’re living in Berlin or nearby, RjDj is hosting a user meetup on the 12:th of December. I will be there.

I’ve finally been convinced and am getting an iPhone in the next week or so. This app alone was actually one of the deciding factors. Can’t wait to try it out properly!

Yay, you will not be disappointed. Nor in the phone or the app.
